Enjoy a relaxing stay at one of our cabins. We are located 130 km south east from Whitehorse on beautiful South Canol Road. The area here is a winter wonderland. It is so quiet and peaceful that you will here the wood cracking from the cold. The woodstove in your cabin makes it nice and warm, the Northern Lights are dancing and you will feel the breath of the wilderness.

The package includes 3 nights accommodation in a cozy cabin with a propane range for cooking, use of sauna and snowshoes, igloo building course, guided 1 day snowshoe trip, guided 2 hour snowmobile trip, and Whitehorse transfers.

Welcome to our wilderness cabin, nestled in the rolling hills of southern Yukon. Surrounded by mountains this lakeshore retreat offers a true respite from the stresses of modern-day life.

 Our guide will transfer you from Whitehorse to the trailhead from where you will ski or snowshoe the easy trail to the cabin. Luggage and supplies will be shuttled by snowmachine. After a day of familiarization your guide will leave and than your secluded and cozy homestead is all yours to explore and enjoy.  During your stay enjoy wildlife viewing opportunities, marvelling at the northern lights and sparkling stars, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, ice fishing or build a “Quincy”.  On day four our guide escorts you back to Whitehorse for your departure

The aurora borealis, or northern lights, are an elusive and magnificent wonder of nature and an absolute must see. Our Northern Lights Centre, located just outside of the city’s lights, provides an amazing opportunity to view and photograph the aurora.

Package includes 3 nights standard room accommodation, superior room at the High Country Inn, 2 nights escorted aurora viewing with transfers (includes hot drinks & snack), 2 breakfasts, airport transfers.

3 day/3 night Dog Sledding Package!  Spend your first night at the comfortable High Country Inn. You will be transferred from your hotel the next morning and spend the next two days dog sledding, enjoying delicious home cooking and staying in cozy B&B accommodations. Your package includes two full day mushing trips, where you will learn to care for and drive a team of 4-6 friendly huskies!

Enjoy a home-style welcome and a spectacular weekend of dog sledding in the Yukon. Trip includes Friday night in a Whitehorse hotel, followed by Saturday and Sunday dog sledding. Learn to drive your own small dog team. Campfire lunches, overnights at our wilderness cabins OR sleep in a wall tent, heated by wood stove. Monday after breakfast, we drive the dog teams back across Lake Laberge to the van or truck which returns you to Whitehorse for the afternoon flight.

This tour gives the visitor a taste of the Yukon as they experience a sampling of northern traditions. Stay in our cozy wood heated Aurora Cabin, go moonlight mushing, watch for the aurora, have a Yukon BBQ, snowshoeing, ice fishing and learn how to make bannock! All meals are home cooked by our guides who will tempt your taste buds with northern delicacies and tasty desserts. Spend your last night in the historical Gold Rush Inn. Day 2 enjoy a guided tour of historic Whitehorse. Shop for unique northern souvenirs. Back to the B & B for afternoon snowshoeing through untouched terrain. Day 3 is full of dog sledding, snowmobiling, horseback riding and tobogganing. This evening soak in the hot tub and watch for northern lights. After thorough orientation, Day 4 is full of speed. Drive your snowmachines to the top of the mountain and gaze over the powerful vistas. Spend the evening watching the dancing northern lights.

Day 1: Travel by dog team to our wilderness cabins on the secluded east side of Lake Laberge. Afternoon “sled school” includes sled handling techniques plus how to be a good partner to your dog team.

Days 2 - 4: Explore spectacular winter trails by dog team. Campfire lunches, camaraderie, and a cozy cabin at night.

Day 5: Return to Whitehorse late morning. All meals included. 2008 is our 25^th year for dog sled tours!

Departures: Each Sunday to Thursday, January to beginning of April. (Saturday to Wednesday departures also often available.)

Interesting stops include Braeburn Lodge, the First Nation village of Carmacks, Five Finger Rapids and the Dempster Highway Crossing. In Dawson we visit the famous local bar “the Pit”. Later on we invite you to a snowshoe tour to “Cave Man Bill” who lives in a cave on the western shore of the Yukon River.

Join us for the ultimate winter adventure! Our route takes us from Whitehorse to Dawson City in the Yukon Territory and further - north on the Dempster Highway to Inuvik in the Northwest Territories. Here's where the adventure becomes epic - driving the fascinating 'Mackenzie River Ice Road' to the small Inuit settlement of Tuktoyaktuk on the shores of the frozen Beaufort Sea of the Arctic Ocean.

The 8 day 7 night package includes airport transfers in Whitehorse and Inuvik, all transportation by van as per itinerary, 7 nights accommodation, Air North flight from Inuvik to Whitehorse, knowledgeable and experienced driver/guide for complete trip, emergency equipment including satellite phone and GPS.

This is an extension of our 4 ½ day trip, where you learn to drive a dog team, returning to our cozy wilderness cabins at night. This trip adds one additional experience – an overnight dog team camping trip. We camp overnight in a wall tent heated by wood stove, and cook our meals over a campfire. A special experience to share with your dog team and a wonderful opportunity to watch for northern lights.
